The Sheeshnag Lake Trek is a popular trekking destination located in the beautiful Kashmir Valley of India. The trek starts from the town of Pahalgam and takes you through scenic forests, alpine meadows, and glacier-fed streams, offering breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks and the Sheeshnag Lake.
The trek covers a distance of approximately 32 kilometers over a period of 2 days, with the highest point of the trek being the Sheeshnag Pass at an altitude of 14,000 feet. The major highlights of the trek include the beautiful Sheeshnag Lake, which is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and the challenging climb up to the Sheeshnag Pass, which rewards trekkers with stunning views of the Himalayas.
The trek is considered moderately difficult, with steep climbs and descents along the way. It is suitable for experienced trekkers, as well as those who are new to high-altitude trekking. The best time to undertake the Sheeshnag Lake Trek is from June to September when the weather is clear and the skies are usually blue.
A beautiful drive from Srinagar to Chandanwadi followed by a trek to Pissu Top all the way to Sheeshnag Lake. Where you get to enjoy the soft and wonderful breeze of natural desired air. This path is also followed for Shri Amarnath Cave as well. A rather beautiful and mesmerizing night stay at this location will take all the stress out of one’s body.
After a wonderful night near Sheeshnag Lake, a trek back to Chandanwadi where on the path you get to capture the amazing beauty of nature.
